Which is about 7 hours and 54 minutes from Midnight after watching the news and seein how new Zealand and Austrailia came thru the new century, my fears were realized NUTIN IS GONNA HAPPEN, dam...... HAPPY NEW YEAR Hey Barry when you read this drop me a note let me know I am so depressed Jez do I need help. Just think I haven't had a smoke or a drink in 5 weeks ~ no excuses I guess its me after all. :-) |
Comments: I loved your Christmas greetings! Thank you so much? I haven't visited your site in a while...still am struck by the similarities...I was born just 5 months before your wife and, if I remember correctly, we are both teachers. Of all those surnames on yo r list, I have direct connections to FIVE of them....Crawford and Wilson are my father-in-law and mother-in-law's surnames and Fraser, McDowell and Newman are all family names on my mother's side. Surely we are connected back there somewhere...maybe more than once. Since I last was in contact with you I have traced my Fraser roots to Canada...specifically, Muskoka, Canada (north of Toronto). I have some specific info about my great grandfather's family Hamilton Fraser) owning a large resort on a lake in that area. I haven't written for records, but will one of these days and may sometime visit the area. I wish you and your family a very, very happy holiday!

Comments: Of the many genealogy-oriented pages I have visited yours is quite amazing...obviously a labor of love! The numerous valuable links will keep me busy for many hours, I'm sure. I am a descendant of Malcolm Fraser (lieutenant, and later colonel, 78th Highlanders)who fought under Wolfe at the Battle of Quebec, and his son Alexander. I have quite a bit of information, but I'm always on the lookout for more! Hence my interest in your website.
Comments: It was an interesting site.

Comments: Thank you for visiting my page and I enjoyed looking at your page. I'll call back again for more looks. I'm seeking the parents of Henry Goldsworth Fraser. He was born in Scotland about 1820 and came to Tasmania . He married Keziah Ion nee Grace in 1864 i Launceston Tas.He died in 1893 apparently he was going to claim an inheritance from Scotland, the shock of this was so great that he had an heart attack not far from his home.
Comments: I was left on church steps as a child with the name Jamie Fraser and Culldon pinned on my clothes. I'm seeking any information know about him and/or his family tree. If anyone can help please mail me at: Andrea Tucker 1105 Twin Oaks Dr. Madison, SD 57042 USA

Comments: I would like to find out all I can about the Frazier's and especially the ones from Floyd County Ky. sense my dad is from there and his Dad was killed when he was 23 years old. My Dad and Uncles were just babies at the time and I would like to find some f my relatives.
Comments: What a wonderful contribution... a meeting place for Frasers world wide. I would like to hear from descentants of James Fraser b. approx 1765 in parish of Strath Dores Inverness-shire, Scotland. All his children immigrated to the Indian Lands of Dundee Quebec between 1818-1829. Am also wanting to meet folks from the old sod, particulary from Strath-Dores parish. So many of you are out there...Come talk to me!!!
Comments: Great web site. My mother 's a Fraser so I was interested to see what you looked like etc. We are very Fraser orientated, and are having a family gathering in a local hotel on Sunday, then going to the new headstone at the family grave to say a few words. Our lot came from Duffus, Morayshire. When did your's go to Canada and why I wonder? I haven't read all your info but will return at a later date. Must off to bed as I'm working tomorrow. (just do part-time). Don't want to feel "peely Wally." Lang mae yer lum reek Jennifer.

Comments: I am enjoying reading all the Fraser's home pages I currently do not know about my Fraser beginnings I have believed that the Frasers of Lovat were our relations. The more I learn the more I am unsure. My grandfather's name was Vern, and he lived most of his life in Ridgetown, Ontario-near London, Ontario. In July I shall start my search in the cemetery in Ridgetown. Any advice!

Comments: My Fraser blood comes via my distaff side, my great x 3 grandmother was a FRASER from Boleskine,Inverness,Scotland. I can take the family back as far as Simon FRASER b.1779 Boleskine.I am lacking in Scottish knowledge as it was only comparatively recently that I discovered my Scottish blood! Have no idea of tartan?? Are they all different?? I have enjoyed your pages.
Comments: Great page. I am researching my family now. The farthest I have gotten is my GG Grandfather Rev. William Frasier. Hopefully I'll find some more soon.

| Comments: Neat page layout! Looking for Crawford/Lindsay Clan connection. Come visit my page.
|
Comments: I started looking at your site hoping to find a connection through the Crawford surname. I have a gr-gr-gr-grandfather named John Crawford (1817-1894)who married Isabella McFarlane (1817-1904). Their daughter Janet married Archibald Leitch. I found Joh and Isabella are buried in a Scottish cemetery near London, Ontario called Kilmartin Cemetery. Just hoping to find a connection. Thanks for the great site. Have you read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon? A main character is a Scot nammed Jamie raser---great novel based on Scottish history.
Comments: Opps!Forgot to mention when I signed your book that one thing that piqued my interest was the fact that Eharles Fraser went to Chicago to be near his brother, William, in 1912. Chicago is where my mother and he Grandmother, Bertha, lived. I still don't ee a connection, but it could be there I guess. I didn't see any Hamiltons in Charles' family.
Comments: I am looking for my great grandfather, Hamilton Fraser. I know very little, other than that he was born about 1865-70, married my great grandmother, Bertha Slayback, and had two little girls, Bertha and Margaret, in the early 1890's. He died about 1895, leaving Bertha to raise the girls alone. I believe he or his family were from Canada. A cousin of mine, through Bertha's line, is helping me look for him and gave me this website to check. I don't think there is any connection, but found your site charm ng and was amused at the coincidences - the family names of Fraser and Crawford, a teacher, etc. My husband's family (Crawford) is from Ohio so there is probably no connection there either. It was fun to visit...maybe I'll drop back in sometime! Carol
Comments: Thanks for your visit to my site. Thought I would drop by and see yours. Lots of information and I love the way you have incorporated your heritage into the site. Plan to stop by again when I can take more time to explore.
Comments: I thought I'd sign your book before seeing the rest of your site, otherwise I may forget. I appreciate your response on The Gathering..., I enjoy getting to know a little about those I'm "chatting" with. What I've seen so far is impressive. I also have Frasers in my family but can't put my hands on the connection right now. When I finish my site I'll post it at the pub, so keep your eyes open. Yours, Bill

Comments: Hi there, I am planning a traditional Scottish Wedding on the Ship Hector in Pictou, Nova Scotia. It took Scottish Emigrants from Scotland to Pictou and we are therefore known as the "Birthplace of New Scotland." I am just surfing the web looking for info on traditional scottish weddings and the Fraser Clan. Your site was great-this could become a past time for me. Take Care

Comments: Yours is the FIRST STOP in my cyber-investigation of the name FRAZIER. I suspect that it is a permutation of FRASER. My mother is Frazier, and says her lineage is Scots-Irish. I dunno, but I recently have become very excited about tracking down my root . Kudos on your very splended site. Michael C. Spearing
