A gameskeeper. He brought his family to North America from County Kerry, by the Black River, in Ireland. They lived for a while with Mary's relatives, the Lynchs, in New York prior to their move to Toronto where they settled on June 18, 1884.

Related to Dan Lynch in New York City. Her own son Dan worked for a while at the Lynch Bar in New York.

b 4/3/1864 in Moulinabrien, country Kerry, Ireland. A small townland that was practically a family farm. Mouladireen was the O'Connor farm (later owned by the Doyle's). Moulinabrien was within walking distance to the church and school in Direendaragh. The Doyle family has since sold the farm to the State for Forestry and although the old homestead still exists, the area is abandoned and overgrown with trees.d ?
